Transportation Package for WA

Join Us in Asking for a Equitable Transportation Package

Olympia, WA – Tuesday, November 19, 2013

A transportation revenue package that would invest billions of dollars in Washington state’s transportation system could be on the horizon. This Thursday, the Senate is holding a work session on their transportation proposal. We will be providing public testimony to ask that a final package contains equitable funding for walking, biking and transit interests.

We need your help.

Today, there is undisputed science that links transportation and health – where we live and how we move impacts our health status. Transit and non-motorized transportation are not only healthier modes of transportation for us to use, but they also help build safer, healthier, and more active communities. Furthermore, communities that emphasize motorized vehicles experience more inequities. If you believe that health should be a factor in any imminent transportation revenue package for Washington, please contact your Senator today.
