Support Nutrition Standards for Marketing to Kids
The voluntary guidelines on marketing food to children – proposed by an Interagency Working Group made up of the CDC, FDA, FTC and USDA – are in danger of being withdrawn.
We described in a previous alert to our members, why it is so critical that the intense pressure from the food and entertainment industry be met with equally loud support for the health of our children.
The Center for Science and the Public Interest (CSPI) has organized 75 researchers to send a letter to the President urging his support for the voluntary guidelines.
Here is what you can do:
1) Send your own letter to the President. Generate your letter here, using a sample letter from the CSPI.
2) Circulate this short video by the Prevention Institute by sharing it on your Facebook wall, via Twitter or on your own web site.
