INSTITUTIONAL CHANGE PROJECT COORDINATOR
The Childhood Obesity Prevention Coalition (COPC) is a statewide coalition that supports policy and system changes at local, regional and state levels that aim to: 1) increase the number of Washington families and individuals that are physically active on a daily basis; and, 2) improve the access to and the demand for healthful foods for all Washington families and individuals. The COPC is funded by multiple sources, including member donations and grants from Public Health Seattle King County (PHSKC), WA State Department of Health and Seattle Children’s.
COPC is seeking an Institutional Change Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator will be part of the staffing support to help with the development and implementation of healthy food and beverage guidelines and regulations in cafeterias, vending machines, and other venues in one affordable housing site, two local governments, and two family-oriented community organizations. This is a temporary, part-time job with funding commitment through December 31, 2013. This position is based in King County, WA.
