Forward for Healthier Options and Safe Streets!

Friday, February 22nd – Olympia, WA
We are happy to report that our latest statewide legislative efforts to build a healthier generation for Washington are off to a great start! You can view our legislative tracker for a complete listing of issues that we are advancing, supporting, and tracking here.
Of note, is HB 1321 (Jinkins) (Establishing Food and Beverage Provision and Service Policies) – a bill that would require that when the state purchases or serves food there will be healthy options. HB 1321 passed out of the House Committee on Government Operations & Elections yesterday.
Meanwhile, HB 1045 (Ryu) (Neighborhood Safe Speeds) passed out on the House floor 86-10, and is now on its way to the Senate!
All in all, a great month for our efforts so far. Let’s continue to push for these important efforts – and please check back here for updates!
